We have often been asked to demonstrate a post mortem gralloch so here it is, the video shows the method and basic steps used by John Robson, there are other ways but this procedure has proved to be efficient and effective. There are a number visual checks which should take place before the gralloch i.e. for foot & mouth disease, physical deformities etc. The video does not cover checking the lymphatic system or examination of the gralloch for tape worm or liver flukes etc. It is accepted that these checks should be undertaken place before the carcass is released into the food chain.
